Ulyanovsk state agricultural university named after P.A. Stolypin was founded in 1943. The University is the only higher education institution of agrarian profile in the Ulyanovsk region. It implements educational programs of primary, higher, secondary and postgraduate professional education of workers of agrarian and industrial complex.

FSBEI HE Ulyanovsk SAU includes four basic faculties:

• agronomy;
• veterinary medicine and biotechnology;
• engineering;
• economics.

In addition, the University has Technological Institute (branch of the Academy), located in Dimitrovgrad, Ulyanovsk region, the College of agro-technology and business.
