Obukhov Igor Leonidovich

Born in 1963. In 1985, he graduated with honours from the veterinary faculty of Moscow veterinary academy. In 1987 he entered the postgraduate school of the all-Russian state center for quality and standardization of medicines for animals and feed, where, after completion of the postgraduate school, works for now, since 2005 he is the head of the Department of biotechnology, from 2011 - Deputy Director for scientific research and innovation.

In 2000 Obukhov I.L. defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic «Molecular-genetic characteristics of chlamydia and Express-diagnostics of chlamydiosis», in 2003 he was awarded the title of Professor. Specialist in the field of development and implementation of molecular-genetic test-systems for detection of pathogens of infectious diseases of animals, as well as the immuno - and DNA-diagnostics.

Under the leadership of Igor Leonidovich the Department of biotechnology has received and annually confirms the international accreditation for definition of antirabic antibodies for monitoring the effectiveness of vaccination against rabies of domestic animals. In April 2005 the company received the accreditation in the EU, in 2006 – in Taiwan and in 2007 – in Japan.

In 2005, the Department of biotechnology is certified according to ISO 9001:2000 for the identification and quantitative determination of each component of GMOs in raw materials, feed, food products and the assessment of their security, as well as the exclusion of falsification no prescription components of plant and animal origin.

During the work Obukhov I.L. published more than 200 scientific works, developed more than 60 normative documents, approved in the established order, received 5 certificates of authorship and patents. The technological chain of specialized equipment for implementation and development of biochip technology, synthesis of primers and probes in veterinary medicine. Obukhov I.L. was awarded the title «Honorary worker of the agro-industrial complex of Russia», has diploma of the Ministry of agriculture of the Russian Federation and of Rosselkhoznadzor.
