V.S. Rusaleev was born on July 5, 1950 in the city of Murmansk. From 1965 to 1969 he studied at Kustanai Agricultural College, which he finished with honors. In 1971 - 1976 he studied at Troitsk Veterinary Institute. He began his career in Kustanai Regional Veterinary Laboratory as a veterinarian, then as the head of the department. From January 1980 to December 1982 he studied for the postgraduate degree at All-Russian Research Institute of Veterinary Virology and Microbiology. After graduation, he worked as a junior researcher in the laboratory of experimental microbiology of All-Russian Research Institute of Veterinary Virology and Microbiology, in May, 1983 he passed his thesis. In 1984-1985 he went through refresher courses and specialized in molecular biology and genetic engineering at the biological center of the USSR Academy of Sciences (Pushchino), in 1996, he had specialization courses in especially dangerous infections at Stavropol Anti-Plague Research Institute of the USSR Ministry of Health. In 1987 - 1990 he worked as a senior teacher and associate professor of Kustanai Agricultural Institute. In January 1991 he was accepted as a doctoral candidate at the Laboratory of Bacterial Infections of the Center for Toxicological, Radiation and Biological Safety (Kazan), in October 1992 he passed his doctoral thesis. Since September 1993, he has worked at the Federal Center for Animal Health as a senior researcher, leading researcher, head of the microbiology laboratory. The main activities are: - epizootological and immunological monitoring of economically significant bacterial diseases of animals (salmonellosis, pasteurellosis, hemophilic polyserositis, actinobacillosis and pleuropneumonia, pig atrophic rhinitis); - isolation of bacteria field isolates - causative agents of economically significant animal diseases, the study of their immunobiological properties with a view to their subsequent use in making immunobiological preparations; - Conducting research work on development and improvement of production technology and control of inactivated antibacterial vaccines; - providing scientific and advisory assistance to pig farms of the Russian Federation on diagnostics and specific prevention of infectious diseases of pigs. V.S. Rusaleev supervised 11 candidates of sciences and one doctor of sciences.
The total number of publications is 192, 1of which is a monograph, 11 articles are in the international Scopus database, 51 are articles in publications of the State Commission for Academic Degrees and Titles list, 3 copyright certificates and 3 patents for inventions. |
